A few months ago, I received an invitation from PayPerPost notifying me that they have a new platform PayPerPost v4.0. Naturally, I was intrigued and I read about it on their page. It was still in the first stages and there were no opps available yet so I was not able to test this platform. There were still a few kinks in the platform but message boards and customer support was active.
PayPerPost v4.0 isnow live and opps are now available for all. I find that this platform is perhaps like Social Sparks where you need to reach a certain amount to get your cashout which I think is not a great idea especially now that opps have gone as low at a dollar each. A perk for bloggers is that an approval is not needed to submit a blog and there are no minimum requirements needed for a blog to be added. This platform however, gives the advertisers the freedom to choose which blogs to give opps to and when the opps are approved. I’m thinking that this means that bloggers must strive to produce quality blogs to attract the advertisers.
Below is a screenshot on how the new dashboard looks like. It’s not as cluttered as the PPP that we are used to and I think that is a plus.

Most of you may know that the MOMster and I have are members of The Huntington Library. As such, we get special perks including updates on the infamous Corpse Flower! This flower is called titan arum or Amorphophallus titanum which basically means giant p3n1s! I’ve seen the famed flower and it DOES look like one, more so now that it’s not in full bloom! Quick trivia: It’s called bunga bangkai in Indonesia. What I find to be interesting is that these words mean the same in Filipino! (bunga means fruit and bangkai [bankay in Filipino] means corpse).
This flower is closely related to the calla lily due to its inflorescence and is indigenous to Sumatra. I read a pamphlet at The Huntington about their flower and it looks like they have a few plants in their greenhouse. Since this flower only blooms only a few times and NOT every year, the act of blooming is hailed as a celebration. Of course I’m being dramatic but when they bloom they do cause quite a stir.

We went there last Tuesday for a special preview for Huntington members only and the flower itself is not yet in full bloom. It is already pretty large but it still doesn’t stink because they only emit their rotting smell when in full bloom. The Library did provide a small squeeze bottle in their display and if you’re brave enough sniff the lovely perfume that is the Corpse Flower’s smell. Naturally, I gave it a whiff and peeeeeeeeeyyyyyeeeeeeeewwwww! It was definitely stinky!
I knew that the flower was at The Huntington but I never expected it to bloom this year! I can’t wait to see it in all it’s glory! Below is a photo of the flower in full bloom from Wikipedia.

They say a diamond is a woman’s best friend but I digress! It’s shoes, well for me, anyway. I just can’t get enough with shoes. I know that sounds so Imeldific but yeah, I love footwear!
It seems like every time I go shopping, I always head for the shoe department and try all the shoes and sandals that catch my eyes! You just can’t believe what styles and varrieties are available these days.
Not only do I peruse shoes at stores but I also do my fairshare of browsing on the Internet. It’s more updated and I get to browse at hundreds of shoes at the comfort of my own home! Cool, huh?
