A few months ago we went and checked out the Pavilion of Wings at the Natural History Museum of LA County. It was just amazing! I love the varieties of butterflies there and I was able to identify a few. Of course, they’re weren’t hard to identify because I just matched them to the sign that they posted there. There were a few weird names that I saw and they also had the Monarch Butterfly there. See the details on this butterfly? Beautiful, isn’t it?
As a treat to me, at least, I was able to see the paleontologist at work in their Dinosaur lab. Yup! I saw one working on an ancient bone! See, they had a lab that can be accessed by visitors. Oh, we weren’t allowed to get in but we can see them against the clear glass. They are fixing up their Dino exhibit and they will open in 2010 which is soooo exciting for me. Okay, I’m on geek mode again! hehehehe
