After reading the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman, I couldn’t wait so see the movie! Knowing that movie adaptations usually end up in disappointment (read Twilight), I decided not to get my hopes up. I couldn’t hold my excitement when the time came to see it, though because I would be seeing it in 3D! Yes, this is the second time that I saw a 3D movie, the first one was A Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brendan Frasier.
The movie adaptation of Coraline, directed by Henry Selick, is a stop motion animation film reminiscent of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas & The Corpse Bride (both are my favorites) and is released in Digital 3D. With $16.8 million in the box office on opening week alone, and positive reviews given by critics, I expect Coraline to be one of the best animated films in 3D.

I’ve been waiting with bated breath for Coraline to be shown and it will be on the big screen next month. I’m a bit excited because I absolutely adore this book!
