CoralineAfter reading the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman, I couldn’t wait so see the movie!  Knowing that movie adaptations usually end up in disappointment (read Twilight), I decided not to get my hopes up.  I couldn’t hold my excitement when the time came to see it, though because I would be seeing it in 3D!  Yes, this is the second time that I saw a 3D movie, the first one was A Journey to the Center of the Earth with Brendan Frasier.

The movie adaptation of Coraline, directed by Henry Selick, is a stop motion animation film reminiscent of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas & The Corpse Bride (both are my favorites) and is released in Digital 3D.  With $16.8 million in the box office on opening week alone, and positive reviews given by critics, I expect Coraline to be one of the best animated films in 3D.
